The Greystar Intern Program will run from June 1, 2026, to August 7, 2026.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Greystar’s dynamic 10-week internship program will allow you to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of academic learning and real-world accounting. As an intern, you’ll actively contribute to our accounting operations by preparing journal entries, reviewing financial statements, approving invoices, and working within a leading ERP system.
Beyond technical skills, you’ll gain valuable insight into the Property Management industry and discover how accounting plays a vital role in keeping our business running efficiently. This immersive experience is designed to help you build professional confidence, expand your knowledge, and explore a potential career path in corporate accounting.
Responsibilities:
Work with the Corporate team to understand the day-to-day duties and responsibilities of the team in an effort to gain knowledge of the line of business and function within the broader real estate business.
Become familiar with Company applications and operational techniques through completing required in-house training programs.
May work closely with senior team members to complete various financial, administrative, and other reports and analysis as assigned or as necessary.
May work on special projects that require building relationships and partnering with other Greystar teams to reach goals.
May create documentation outlining processes, procedures, programs, testing/review results, etc.
May conduct research on and prepare an assessment of a conceptual idea within the department.
Qualifications:
Graduating between December 2026 and May 2027
Preferred major: Accounting
Curiosity and a desire to learn.
Quantitative background that demonstrates analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, and capability to articulate complex topics.
High standard of accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to deadlines.
This internship offers a flexible remote format with the opportunity to work in a hybrid capacity if you are located near our Tampa Corporate Office.
The compensation for this position is $22.50/hour.
Additional Compensation:
Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including business requirements, prior experience, current skills and geographical location.
Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.
Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
