JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Greystar is seeking a Senior Investment Analyst to support the execution of our investment platform across the Western U.S. This role is integral to analyzing acquisition opportunities, supporting asset management initiatives, and collaborating with teams across the organization to drive value across our real estate investments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain detailed financial models and pro formas to evaluate potential acquisitions. Support deal teams by analyzing return metrics and capital structures.

  • Gather and interpret market data to identify and assess investment opportunities. Prepare comprehensive investment memoranda, market summaries, and presentation materials to support decision-making.

  • Draft and present memos related to new investments, financings, dispositions, and portfolio updates to investment committee and other stakeholders.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with brokers, lenders, institutional partners, and other stakeholders. Serve as a point of contact for communications related to proposed transactions.

  • Lead and coordinate due diligence efforts for acquisitions under contract. Evaluate risk factors and key findings, and prepare documentation to support final investment decisions.

  • Track the status of prospective deals, manage deadlines and workflows, and address issues that may impact successful closings.

  • Assist in ongoing portfolio management activities, including performance monitoring, benchmarking, reforecasting, and strategic asset planning. Analyze operational metrics and leasing performance across the owned portfolio.

  • Work closely with internal teams—including operations, finance, capital projects, and portfolio management—to support regional initiatives, process improvements, and performance enhancement programs.

  • Support senior leadership by responding to data requests, generating reports, and delivering actionable insights on portfolio performance and strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2+ years in a similar investment, acquisitions, or asset management role, preferably in real estate or finance.

  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, effective written and verbal communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Collaborative mindset with a strong sense of ownership, initiative, and attention to detail.

The salary range for this position is $97,000 - $110,000.

Additional Compensation:

Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including business requirements, prior experience, current skills and geographical location.

  • Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.

  • Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
