KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leave Administration:
- Process and manage various types of leaves of absence, including medical leaves, family leave (FMLA and state), parental leaves, USERRA, and other statutory leaves.
- Collaborate with team members, HR partners, and medical professionals to gather necessary documentation and information for leave requests.
Compliance and Policy Adherence:
- Stay informed about federal, state, and local laws related to leaves of absence, ensuring the organization's compliance.
- Interpret and apply company leave policies consistently and accurately.
Working with Job Accommodations:
- Collaborate with team members, managers, and HR partners to manage job accommodations and/or return to work restrictions to assess and implement reasonable job accommodations as needed.
- Ensure that accommodations comply with relevant laws and company policies.
Communication and Consultation:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for team members, managers, and HR partners regarding leave and accommodation inquiries.
- Provide guidance and information to team members about their rights and responsibilities during leave periods and when requesting accommodations.
Documentation and Recordkeeping:
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all leave of absence and job accommodation requests, approvals, and related documentation.
- Document all discussions and decisions related to leave of absence and job accommodations.
Coordination with Other Departments:
- Collaborate with HR, payroll, and benefits teams to ensure seamless integration of leave processes with other HR functions.
- Work closely with team members, supervisors, and managers to develop leave of absence, return-to-work plans, and accommodations as needed.
Team Member Support:
- Assist team members in navigating the leave process, offering guidance on required documentation and next steps.
- Provide periodic updates to team members on the status of their leave requests and accommodations.
BASIC KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred in related fields.
- 1-3 years’ experience in leave administration or a related HR function preferred.
- Proficient understanding of relevant employment laws, especially FMLA, State leaves and ADA.
- Proficiency in HRIS and additional leave management systems such as Dayforce, Workday, and AbsenceSoft.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Additional Compensation:
Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including business requirements, prior experience, current skills and geographical location.
Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in an annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.
Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
