JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for development, implementation and administration of the Company’s varied compliance and/or operational policies, practices and programs. Scope of responsibilities may include legal and regulatory governance and compliance, environmental compliance, conservation and other related programs.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Essential Responsibilities:

Individual must be located in IL or AZ and must be able to report to the Chicago or Phoenix office.

  • Develop, implement operational/compliance programs, creating presentations as needed for the appropriate client and/or operational audiences.
  • Acts as a performance improvement resource to managers by following up providing individual coaching and training, conducting remedial and refresher training, and suggesting education and training alternatives and options based on specific situations.
  • Complete periodic audits as necessary; ensure tracking tools and processes are in place, and report compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements as needed or required.
  • Evaluate and implement solutions to manage and report out on key metrics; Provide regular reporting for operations teams and clients (as needed).
  • Facilitate due diligence activities to mitigate any legal or regulatory risks; Develop and implement profiles for compliance related to government regulations.
  • Participate in events (community, diversity, etc.) on behalf of the organization and providing appropriate representation.
  • Monitor and track state and local regulatory requirements that go into effect and assess their impact on operations and the business.
  • Establish, foster and maintain relationships with external vendors and other 3rd party organizations necessary to cultivate programs that will support legal/regulatory compliance.

  • Completes other duties as assigned or as necessary.

Physical Demands:

  • Incumbents must be able to view computer screens and other electronic equipment, paper reports, and journals for extended periods of time where visual strain may result.
  • Incumbents must be able to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to ten (10) pounds independently and twenty-five (25) pounds with assistance.
  • Rare or occasional travel may be required to attend business meetings, training classes, or other situations necessary for the accomplishment of some or all of the daily responsibilities of this position.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to prepare and explain data to team members.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, investment, property management (Yardi, One Site, Entrata), and database management programs in order to complete required reports.
  • Demonstrated mathematical skills necessary to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers, decimals, and fractions, and calculate percentages.
  • Employment history that demonstrates the application of property management, sales, marketing, and customer service background sufficient to manage the day-to-day operation of an apartment community, resolve customer complaints and issues, complete financial records, documents, and reports, increase sales revenues, and coordinate the word of a team.

Location & Work Setting:

  • Hybrid Role. Team member will be required to sit in either the Chicago, IL or Phoenix, AZ office. 3 days in office, 2 days working from home

The salary range for this position is $55,000- $65,000

Additional Compensation:

Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including business requirements, prior experience, current skills and geographical location.

  • Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.

  • Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
