JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Managing Director, the Manager assists in measuring projects that advance safety performance, ensuring alignment with business objectives and functional priorities. The Manager helps identify opportunities for enterprise and individual lines of business when it is advantageous, and assists in defining success criteria, engaging the right stakeholders, and delivering outcomes that enable process improvement and further team development. The ideal candidate brings organizational experience and background working in complex, geographically dispersed organizations.
JOB DESCRIPTION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Program & Project Management:
- Lead or support the design, planning, and execution of safety and security initiatives and programs across the business enterprise.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and performance metrics to track progress against deliverables and communicate progress to key stakeholders.
- Cross-functional collaboration and communication between business teams, ensuring alignment and accountability.
- Drive proactive organization of meetings, follow-ups, documentation, and deliverables
- Ensure all elements of the program are clearly tracked, documented, and on schedule.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency within safety and security operations.
- Data Analytics:
- Gather and analyze data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement.
- Use Excel and PowerPoint to analyze, visualize, and communicate performance data through reports and presentations that drive actionable insights
- Support written and verbal communications, reports, and presentations for leadership audiences.
- Ensure documentation and processes are consistent, accessible, and aligned with enterprise standards
- Safety:
- Measurement: manage the design, measurement, and implementation process of safety performance for Greystar businesses: utilize appropriate data to implement repeatable metrics and dashboards that assist with continuous improvement and measure effectiveness.
- Team Member: participate as a member of the Greystar Safety Council; participate as a member of an improvement team as permitted and contribute to sharing safety best practices and principles.
- Business Service: collaborate with individual business teams on bringing field issues to resolution.
- Training: assist with organizing and the delivery of Safety-related enterprise training and awareness initiatives.
- Policy Organization:
- Help rationalize, document, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and reporting frameworks.
- Security:
- Development: help implement and refine major incident response protocol using the Incident Response Plan.
- Organization: help organize and manage enterprise security vendors to standardize and improve practices; help organize policy and develop reports.
- Service: assist with receiving ad hoc issues from the field
- Continuous Improvement: facilitate post-incident reviews, lessons-learned sessions, and process documentation to drive ongoing improvement.
BASIC KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Business, Risk Management, Safety, Security, or related field.
- Strong ability to collect, interpret, and present in clear, actionable formats
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required; experience with project or data management systems preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to draft clear summaries, reports, and presentations
- Able to assist the Managing Director in prioritizing and completing tasks, reports, assignments and scheduled work in an orderly and organized manner
- Project management experience: reporting progress, illustrating processes, building and
- maintaining progress reports
- Demonstrated experience in problem identification, problem solving, and organizing processes.
- Experience in working in cross-functional, geographically dispersed, diverse teams
SPECIALIZED SKILLS:
- Ability to adapt to new circumstances in a changing work environment.
- Ability to work in highly sensitive business and personal environments, demonstrating trustworthy behavior consistently.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies, data-driven program evaluation, and process
- improvement frameworks.
- Basic budget knowledge
- High response capability: under specific business crisis circumstances, be able to assist the Managing Director to respond to functional and business needs
TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Team members work in an office or a remote work environment. No special physical demands are required.
- Rare or occasional travel may be required to attend business meetings, training programs, or other situations necessary for the accomplishment of some or all of the daily responsibilities of this position.

Additional Compensation:
Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including business requirements, prior experience, current skills and geographical location.
Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.
Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
